Features and benefits of Geodrain 30 cm

Geodrain with a width of 30 cm is a universal, double-layer drainage layer with high performance for external waterproofing, both for vertical underground applications and for horizontal applications on the ground, such as decks, green roofs and hard landscaping. has it.

Geodrain has an integrated geotextile layer that is thermally welded to the nail surface. This creates a 20mm cavity which gives the membrane excellent drainage capacity. Water penetrates the geotextile layer firmly and enters the 20 mm holes of the recessed membrane. The geotextile layer filters small particles to prevent clogging and ensure drainage.

The four-layer structure allows water to drain before reaching the waterproof coating.

Suitable for vertical gas drainage (methane and radon) when combined with a layer of filtration sand under the floor slab.

The openings on the top of the drainage sheet should be covered with a layer of sand so that the gas escapes from the ambient air without problems.

They have adhesive tape.

Delta recessed sheets are corrosion resistant and resistant to salt solutions, mineral acids, alkalis and polar liquids.

They are proven against reaction or alteration by any of the minerals, humic acids, and bacterial catabolic products naturally present in soil, as well as by bacteria, fungi, and microorganisms.

Eudrine sheets with different thicknesses and widths react completely neutrally to soil or underground water and do not introduce any harmful substances to the environment.

Care should be taken that they are not permanently exposed to UV rays.

Types of geodrain installation

Horizontal installation

After applying the initial waterproofing layer, starting from the lowest part, open the geodrain with the geotextile facing up. Then pull back the geotextile and open the recessed layer. Apply a strip of masking tape or a bead to the membrane between the first and second row of studs and remove the backing tape. Then lay the next strip of geodrain on top of the first strip, stack the first three roll studs and press firmly to create a waterproof seal between the membranes.

As building elements such as perimeter walls, skylights, etc. rise, the drainage membrane should be covered at least 15 cm or up to the top edge of the fill/substrate layer.
Important note: the surface to be drained must have a slope of at least 2.2%.
You can then add your own gravel or vegetation accordingly.

Vertical installation – external waterproof

There are two options for installation when performing external waterproofing of basement walls. This layer can be applied as a roll around the building (with a maximum depth of 1.9 meters). If the depth is higher than this, the layer can be installed like wallpaper. Simply cut to size and fix the top to the wall with quick plugs. Each sheet should have 3 studs overlapping the last one and should be sealed with joint tape. In both cases, the geodrain should continue to the ground.

The membrane must be finished or capped to prevent any debris from entering the cavity. This can be done by flashing the lead or similar, a render bell.
Remember that the geotextile always faces out towards the ground.

It is important to choose the drainage membrane or green roof membrane that suits your needs. Our waterproof membranes act as part of a waterproofing system. Please contact our technical department if you have any questions. Call us at 02188009861.

Geodrain facilities

Easy installation

The drainage capacity is 30 times more than the required drainage standard

It has a pressure resistance of 240 kilonewtons per square meter, and as a result, it can withstand a load of up to 24 tons during installation.

Controllable roll size/weight for one person

Long life – guaranteed against failure for 30 years

High compressive strength

Hard and durable drainage membrane

Due to its high compressive strength, this membrane can be used at an installation depth of up to 10 meters, and thanks to its high drainage capacity, it can withstand even a very high weight of water.

It can also be used as a methane gas and radon drain.

It can be installed parallel or perpendicular to the ground.

Always ensure that the printed geotextile is facing the soil or fill material.

The overlapping of the two membrane tracks on the two long sides is done with the help of the self-adhesive edge. In case of transverse joints, the lower sheet should be placed at least 20 cm below the upper sheet.

It can also be used for horizontal applications.

Summary:

Geodrain is actually a type of geocomposite consisting of a mesh core of heavy polyethylene (HDPE) that can be produced with layers of geotextile on one side or both sides. These products are widely used in the construction and drainage industry due to the flexibility and speed of installation and ease of transportation. High compressive strength up to 1000 KN/m2, heat resistance from -20 to +100 degrees Celsius, low thickness, high water conduction capacity, light weight, long life and economic efficiency are other advantages of ion drains.
